Back to school looks you NEED.
We are more than halfway through summer and with the school year starting in less than a month I needed to share some back to school essentials and trends that everyone needs to participate in. In todays article we will be disscussing some MUST haves for the 2022-2023 school year.
The Perfect Jeans
It takes me at least 25 stores to try and find the best fitting and most flattering jeans. I am not exaggerating. When it comes to jeans I never know my size, the right height, loose or tight. If you are like this too, do not worry, I have saved you the struggle. I linked all of my most trusted and favorite jean brands for you to save all of the struggle and tears in the fitting rooms.
REVICE
I trust REVICE with all of my jean needs. They have the most on trend denim wear at the moment. They have all different styles from flares to high waisted and low waisted. The brand carries sizes from 23 all the way up to 32! The prices range from $40-$100+. REVICE always has some sort of sale or promotion on their website so you save some $$$! These jeans are honestly such a great investment, I have 5 pairs and they are my go-to jeans. Worth the price.
Pacsun
Pacsun is such a go-to when you need something because they have everything from accessories to the best fitting jeans. Pacsun HAS to be putting magic powder on their jeans because they always hug my waist the right way AND are the perfect length!!! HELLO. When does that ever happen. Pacsun has a whole section dedicated to their different styles of jeans. Their jeans are not only decently affordable, but there is always a sale on jeans (in store and through the website). The jeans all range in sizes from 22-32. Personally, I would get on this sale right now.
Free People
Before you judge by the price, hear me out. Yes free people is a pretty expensive establishment, however, for the quality of the jeans you are getting - it is so worth the price. Investing in a nice well fitted pair of jeans is so much easier than making a commitment to crappy and cheaper jeans. Free people ranges their jeans from size 24 up to 35!!! They have over 300+ different jeans to range from and over 15 different styles.
2. The basic tops
I have a closet full of tops - but nothing to wear. The reason why, you need the basics! I have so many trendy tops but when I look for an outfit to go out I can’t find any staple pieces. Sometimes a simple top with a nice pair of jeans is the best look. Here I have linked my go-to staple tops for going out, wearing to school, or just running to the store.
SKIMS
When I think of a simple statement top, my mind instantly goes to SKIMS. This brand has the most perfect long sleeve and short sleeve tops that are perfect for staying in or going out. One thing I absolutely LOVE about SKIMS is their sizing benefits. They range from XXS-4XL! SKIMS ships internationally and also sells in store (at select locations only).
AMAZON
The most affordable and comfortable clothing items can be found on amazon. Not only do these tops come with 3 for $20, but they carry them in over 20 colors! This product is also prime! There are so many green flags in this product I need to purchase every color. Pair this top with your favorite cargo pants or a nice pair of jeans and take some pics for the Insta feed!
Revolve
Whenever I am looking for something fun and new I take a deep dive on Revolve. Revolve has tons of products from other name brand companies on their website. Revolve can be pricey however they have a wide selection of classy and chic clothing made at such high quality. Revolve has many different size ranges on their website depending on each product.
3. Staple jewelry pieces
Now you have a chic outfit but it cannot be perfect without your staple jewelry pieces. Whether you are a silver or a gold girl - it doesn’t matter. My rule of thumb is that you need a nice necklace, ring or bracelet with every outfit. Below I linked my favorites of each!

My favorite staple piece is an initial necklace. So simple yet so chic, dainty necklaces are so essential in completing an outfit. Frasier Sterling has the cutest initial necklaces on their website and overall the most trendy jewelry at the moment. Frasier Sterling ranges from prices around $30-$60.
4. Go to sneakers
Its the 21st century which means your shoe game NEEDS to be on point. You have a full outfit now all you need is the missing piece. Pack away all of your boots, slippers, heels, and flats because in 2022 sneakers are all you need. Not only will I be linking the most trending sneakers, but also the most comfortable. After all, who wants to walk around in sneakers if they are cute and comfy?
Converse
You probably saw this coming because they are the staple shoe of 2022. However they arent the staple shoe for no reason. These shoes are the my favorite for absolutely ANY event. I wear my platform converse to school, work, going out to dinner, hanging with friends, you name it and I have probably worn them there. Not only are they so comfy but they just go with every outfit. One of the best investments I have ever made.
NIKE
The Nike blazers have been on my wish list as soon as they released. The high tops and low tops are just so aesthetically pleasing. Not only are these shoes known for being extremely comfortable but they come in so many colors (which is dangerous because each color is prettier than the next). These are a must have sneaker for back to school!
Reebok
These shoes are ALL over my Pinterest but I am not complaining! These retro sneaks are fulfilling my late 80’s dreams. Once again ; comfy, cute and stylish. What else could you ask for in a pair of sneakers? This off white color is also super helpful for when your sneakers get dirty because it is less noticeable and less likely to leave a big stain!
With the list coming to an end and the school year coming to a start this means you need to start adding these all to your carts so they come in time ! If you are anything like me though, you procrastinate everything and will probably wait until the day before school to find an outfit. Whatever the case is - I hope this helped you in the search for back to school clothes or just some fall essentials !
